I'm performing a new install and want to update the downloaded distribution to include Patch 2

  • Step 1: Download and un-compress the R13 distribution
  • Step 2: Download Patch 1 and un-compress it over the top of the R13 distribution
  • Step 3: Download Patch 2 and un-compress it over the top of the R13 distribution
  • Step 4: Run the setup program, Patch 1 and Patch 2 are applied automatically as part of the normal installation of R13

I've already installed R13 and want to update it to Patch 2

  • Step 1: Download Patch 1
  • Step 2: Download Patch 2
  • Step 3: Download the Patch Program (from the Downloads menu) and uncompress it
  • Step 4: Run the Patch Program, you'll be prompted for the zip files, apply them in order, apply your Sage patches and you're done!

The primary enhancement of EDM for Sage X3 Patch 2 is the core software update allowing all communication between components to be done via http or https.

  • Q: If I've already applied the hotfixes, do I still need to apply Patch 2?
  • A: Yes. Patch 2 consolidates all the previous hotfixes plus numerous other incremental updates.

  • Q: Do I need new licences for Patch 2?
  • A: Yes. As part of the Core Software update, there are licencing changes around FTS, SmartMail and PIA. Please consult the Release Note for details.
