V1HouseKeepingManagement

Information

The V1HouseKeepingManagement is central facility for periodically cleansing all logs / cache and common areas in the V1 system.

These include purging DbCapture Exported and DbAuthorise ‘OK’ documents, (that can cause disk-space and performance issues if left un-checked), as well as an alert for low disk space on the V1 Server itself.

• All settings stored securely in Vault, each area can be turned on and off via your browser without any need for code changes

Email alerts triggered using SmartMailSend (where purchased):

• Diskspace on the V1 Server failling below the specified minimum
• Any connection / API failure

The delivery consists of the following components:

• DbCheck polling service (renamed to V1HouseKeepingManagement.exe)
• v1cleanup.exe
• Scripts to automatically install / start / stop / start the service in debug / auto path replacement
• V1HouseKeepingManagement.def

Future Enhancements for consideration include:

• An email summary of logs removed and the diskspace saved as a result
• An email summary of DbAuthorise OK documents removed
• An email summary of DbCapture Exported documents removed

Hotfixes

To save having to re-install V1HouseKeepingManagement for existing installations made since the last update, hotfixes can be applied (file replacement) as and when available.

Fresh installs of V1HouseKeepingManagement will always include the hotfixes, so do not need to be applied.
